JUDGMENT
& ENFORCEMENT
If the debtor has not paid after court action proceedings are issued, and no defence has been filed or the defence has been struck out by a Judge, the next step is to issue a County Court Judgment (CCJ).

Same-day instruction
We can obtain judgment and begin enforcement through the Civil National Business Centre in Northampton on the same day we receive your instructions.

ENFORCING A
COUNTY COURT JUDGMENT
We typically enforce a CCJ by issuing an execution of judgment. If your debt is under £600, the court will instruct a local County Court Bailiff. If it is £600 or over, the judgment is transferred to a High Court Enforcement Officer.

Why it works
The Bailiff or Enforcement Agent will attend the debtor's premises to obtain payment directly or take control of goods to the value of the outstanding debt. If the debtor does not pay within one month, the CCJ is registered and affects their credit rating for 6 years.
FAQs
